Poetry: The Art of Words

I always loved to write. It's my favorite creative medium besides music and handiwork. Be it fictional stories, lyrics, or poems, a pen (or computer) is my brush and a piece of paper (or Word) is my canvas.

So that being said, I decided to do a poem for this project.

I based it off the card I had chosen earlier this semester, the thirteenth card of the Tarot called Death. While many fear it in the literal sense, I often stress that the Tarot in general is never as literal as all that, especially people I read for. This is a card I chose because like the card suggests, nothing is ever permanent and everything changes for better or worse--either way, it still happens for the sake of fate and the natural order of things.

I won't reveal the poem here; it will be presented in class on the day I go.
